Broken Concrete to New Asphalt: Expanding and Integrating a Driveway with Stone Elements

A straightforward upgrade from an old, cracked concrete driveway to a wider, asphalt one, designed to align seamlessly with the property's stone wall faces.

This homeowner wanted more than just a driveway repair. They sought to expand the width of their existing cracked concrete driveway, stretching it to meet the stone wall and integrating it with the irregular stone wall faces.

Our initial task at A&D Asphalt Solutions was to remove the old concrete and the sand/clay base and haul it away. Once cleared, the focus shifted to rebuilding and compacting the new fresh and clean road crush base. Next was asphalt paving, ensuring it was even and widened appropriately to the desired width.

A particular emphasis was placed on ensuring the new driveway meshed well with the stone features of the property. This meant paving up to the irregular stone faces. The photographs from the project highlight this integration, showcasing a driveway that's both practical and aesthetically in tune with the property's features.

The result is a functional, wider driveway that complements the stone elements of the residence, reflecting A&D Asphalt's commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction.
